LASER -Light Amplification by Stimulated  Emission of Radiation

Introduction-
     Laser is a quantum electronics device which generate coherent electromagnetic radiation in infrared, visible, ultraviolet and x-ray regions. It is not a general light source because it has some special properties that make it different from other light sources.

History of Laser-
LASER stands for Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation.
     Laser began  to developed in 1958 but first laser is developed by Theodore H Maiman in 1960 at Hughes Research Laboratories, basis on theoretical work by Charles Hard Townes and Arthur Leonard Schawlow.

Use of Laser-
     Laser are used in optical drives, laser printer, DNA sequential instrument, optical fiber and free-space optical communication, cutting and welding material, laser operation and skin treatment, military and law enforcement device for making target and measuring range and speed e.t.c.
